THOR Voted One Of Top Frontmen Of All Time
August 4, 2004Canadian heavy metal legend THOR (a.k.a. Jon Mikl Thor) was voted one of the top 100 frontmen of all time by England's Classic Rock magazine. Thor reportedly defeated the likes of Courtney Love, Bret Michaels and Suzi Quatro. Other legends on the list included Ozzy Osbourne, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler and Jim Morrison. Topping the poll was late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott.
Thor is currently starring in the action packed horror thriller, "The Intercessor", which is being shot in Vancouver, B.C. and London, Ontario. The singer's next CD has been recorded and is currently being mixed in Hollywood by producers Frank Meyer and Bruce Duff. Backing Thor on the album is the Los Angeles three-piece SWEET JUSTICE, which features Frank Meyer (THE STREETWALKIN' CHEETAHS, WAYNE KRAMER, CHEETAH CHROME, SYLVAIN SYLVAIN) on guitar, Bruce Duff (ADZ, 45 GRAVE, JEFF DAHL) and Chris Marwkood (ex-BELLRAYS, BLARE BITCH PROJECT). Also scheduled to appear on the album are keyboardist Brian Kehew (AIR, MOOG COOKBOOK) and punk queen Texas Terri on what promises to be "a lean, mean, stripped down hard rock affair," according to an official press release.
